The video above shows what’s wrong with the title of this article. There is one word that doesn’t belong with the others. Entertainment. While Floyd Mayweather has made enough money from boxing and now WWE to call himself “Money” he has never done much that was entertaining. I’ll spare people that aren’t boxing fans and keep my analysis of his career short. Mayweather is a defensive fighter. He has never been flashy inside the ring. His two biggest paydays were against De La Hoya (who forced the action in the fight, although there wasn’t much action at all) and Ricky Hatton, a fan favorite from England that made Las Vegas sound like his hometown when they fought (Mayweather lives in Las Vegas). So he is at least flashy outside of the ring right? Wrong. The only thing Mayweather is really capable of doing is flashing money, proclaiming himself the greatest fighter of our generation (while avoiding a fight with Miguel Cotto who should have had a shot before either of the fighters I just named), and going on Dancing with the Stars. So all he could really hope to bring to the WWE is mic skills. The problem is he doesn’t have any. Of course if you’ve been watching Raw you already know this as you see Mayweather mumbling in his monotone jibberish that you wouldn’t expect from someone being paid 20 MILLION DOLLARS. They can only make this right if this is a real MMA fight and Big Show snaps him in half. I want to see a real choke slam where the mat doesn’t give and Mayweather starts seizing. None of this had to happen. WWE could have went a much cheaper route by bringing back someone else they already had. Tyson. Only instead of 20 million they probably could have got him for a bus pass and some beef jerkey and got back a hell of a lot more entertainment. I’m obviously very opinionated when it comes to Mayweather so here is a video of Tyson talking, without a script mind you, to compare to the lackluster Mayweather. Seriously. What would sell more tickets? A 159 lb man saying “I’ll break your jaw” to Big Show, or an ear-biting, heavyweight, convicted rapist screaming “I’ll eat your asshole alive you bitch!”

I think Dave Scherer confirmed that the 20 million figure is a work and the actual pay day is about 1 million. Which is still about $999,999.99 more than he’s worth.
