SWANTON BOMBS AGAIN!

In an EXTREME TWIST OF FATE, Jeff Hardy, the odds on favorite to win the Money In The Bank match at Wrestlemania XXIV was suspended for sixty-days for violating the wellness policy. While many were shocked at Hardy being on whatever he’s on again, I was actually more shocked that Vince actually suspended someone of ‘Importance’ over the time of Mania. This is amazing.

I love it.

I gotta say though, after listening to a lot of the remarks floating around the internet lately, I do wish they would just call the authorities and have any one who violates arrested.

You guys can argue that one all you want, but to me, if I go to work too drunk/high/stupid to do my job, I don’t get 60 days in the corner to go think about what I did wrong. I don’t get another shot. I get my ass hauled away, or at the very least, I get to find another job.

I have no real problem with Hardy not being at Mania. Screw him. Who cares? If he’s too braindead to understand that Vince would have eventually strapped the title to him, but feared him having a RELAPSE, then who needs him? I don’t miss that dumbass RVD, who drove down the road in the wrong direction because he was high.

I do think that it’s ridiculous that people have to drop titles because they’re too busy getting high. Why can’t a champion be someone to look up to anymore. We currently have a WWE Champion who can’t talk, A US Champion who spent almost ten years in prison, HAD an IC Champ who was doing drugs, and a leprechaun who hid his Cruiserweight title in his lucky charms. Alright, so that last one had nothing to do with anything, but still. Where the hell did the Cruiserweight title go?

The upside is that Vince has proven me wrong. Not only did he actually suspend one of the most popular wrestlers on RAW, he managed to prove that I’m an idiot for thinking we should hype and Intercontinental Title Match. Boy, would my face have been red! Way to go, Vinny Mac!

I don’t care about Jeff Hardy missing Wrestlemania. It’s a simple WHISPER IN THE WIND in my mind. It was here. Now it’s gone. Who cares?

Everyone else will want to climb the ladder, but Jeff Hardy got too high a month early, and won’t be there. I think they call that POETIC JUSTICE.

What’s great is that I think a guy with the words “DRUG FREE” tattooed on his fists is probably going to take his place.

    That’s a beautiful theory! I love it!

Thats the jeff hardy we all knew, the one that has been around for the past 6-12 months was an imposter.
Jeff was never going to become a credible WWE champion, he may of eventually won it as part of a 1-2 month gimmick to get a cheap pop.
If he ever gets fired, TNA would probobly still take him back, and id have to put up with more garbage being pushed in TNA.

    That is sooooooo true!

I never thought it would be an actual title reign… Just that it was destined to happen.

Off topic – Why is the IC Champ and the US Champ in a match to get contendership for a different title? Doesn’t anyone think we should be building up the importance of these titles instead of just using them as weapons at ringside?

The US Champ in WCW was always considered the number one contender for the NWA title. Luger, Sting, Vader, etc. So I don’t mind if the US Champ in WWE is doing the same thing.

As for the IC title, it was a great idea in the 80’s when they could have a top heel defending it on the shows that Hogan wasn’t at. Now it’s so worthless that I often have trouble remembering who even holds it. Kind of like the ECW title… Or the World tag title, or the WWF tag titles.

The silver lining is that we no longer have to watch that stupid dance he does when he walks out of the curtains.

  7. wrestlingdvdreviews Says:

dont get me started on that dance!

and the IC stopped meaning anything years ago, they discontinued it and then brought it back and still no one even cares, or really knows who the champion is, when Honky or Valentine had it then you know who had the belt.

The US title lost all credibility in 07 when Hardy and MVP continued a feud for a title for almost a year without a title defense
